Quotation Maker
The start of the chain. Quote with real GST figures — not estimates you will have to redo — then convert to a proforma or a tax invoice without retyping a single line.
How conversion works: pick a saved client and the quotation is prefilled from your book. Convert, and the invoice inherits the client, the lines and the totals — and takes the next invoice serial, because each document type keeps its own sequence. Which document to send when is covered in Quotation vs Proforma vs Invoice.

Quotation questions
Is a quotation a tax document?
No. A quotation is a commercial offer — it carries no tax-invoice serial rules and creates no tax liability. GST figures on it are estimates computed by the same engine, so the numbers survive conversion to the invoice unchanged.
What happens when I convert a quotation?
The client and lines carry over from the book, and the new document takes the next serial of its own series — quotation numbers and invoice numbers are separate sequences, as they should be. An expired quotation still converts, but the validity date stays visible so you can warn the client the price was time-boxed.
