Proforma Invoice

An advance-payment and approvals document with honest labelling: "Proforma Invoice — not a tax invoice" is printed on the document itself, not buried in a help page.

Indicative figures, real arithmetic: the proforma runs on the same engine as the GST invoice generator, so identical inputs give identical totals. Convert it and the tax invoice inherits the client and lines — the client-book link is preserved, not re-created.

Proforma questions

Why does the document say "not a tax invoice"?

Because it is not one. A proforma is an indicative document — for advance payment requests, customs paperwork and approvals. Tools that quietly omit the label invite you to file or claim against a document that has no tax standing. Ours prints the label on the document itself.

Are the GST figures on a proforma final?

They are computed by the same engine as the tax invoice, so for identical inputs the totals match the invoice exactly. They remain indicative until the tax invoice is issued — the supply, the place of supply or the rates could still change in between.
