Purchase Order

The buyer-side mirror of the suite. Your business buys; a saved supplier receives the order; the engine, the rounding and the footer-free PDF stay exactly the same.

One book, both directions: a supplier saved here can be picked as a client on an invoice tomorrow — roles are per-document, the address book is shared. The PO itself converts to nothing (it is an outbound commitment) but is stored in your history like every other document.

Purchase order questions

How is a purchase order different from an invoice?

Direction. An invoice asks your customer to pay you; a purchase order tells your supplier what you will buy, on what terms, by when. Here your saved business becomes the buyer and a saved supplier becomes the recipient — one address book, roles chosen per document.

Are the totals computed the same way?

Yes — deliberately. The PO runs on the same engine with the same rounding as the GST invoice, so the order you send and the invoice you later receive can be compared line by line without two tools disagreeing about arithmetic.
